Some people grow up with a head start. Leonard McKinnon grew up in Mississippi with the opposite. Extreme poverty shaped his earliest years in ways most people never experience — and the road from there included an arrest and a fight for independence that demanded everything he had.
But what makes Leonard's story worth telling isn't just what he survived. It's how he survived it. Through every trial, every low point, every moment where the bottom seemed to drop out again — Leonard leaned on God. Not perfectly. Not without struggle. But consistently, stubbornly, faithfully.

Some people run from God. Lourens Alexander was never one of them. But saying yes to God and knowing what God is asking of you are two very different things — and for Lourens, the gap between them has been a lifelong wrestling match.
Lourens grew up in South Africa and has carried that journey across continents — walking through many, many low points in his pursuit of purpose. The kind of low points that quietly wear a person down when nobody's watching.
But it was during his final year of university — through a lost son in Cape Town — that something cracked open. And what Lourens encountered wasn't a softer, more manageable version of Jesus. It was the same Jesus from the Bible. Unfiltered. Powerful. Real.

Childhood trauma. Broken trust. Fear that never got a name. For Guy Sharpe, those early wounds became the foundationn for years of addiction, pornography, life in the adult entertainment industry, and relationships that couldn't hold the weight of all that pain.
But underneath every dark chapter was a thread he couldn't shake--a God who kept showing up. Not after Guy cleaned himself up. Not once he figured it all out. Right in the middle of his darkest season.  This isn't a tidy story with an easy ending. It's a story of a man beign slowly, patiently rebuilt by love he couldn't outrun.
